What we create

Beyond the courses and the training, Urban Move Academy is a place of creation. Its shows are carried by Troupe UMA, a company formed of the academy’s former students, which asserts its autonomy and highlights a diversity of voices and visions.

The core brings together eight versatile artists, urban and contemporary dancers, tracers and skaters, under the artistic direction of Nicolas Musin, in Geneva. On its stage creations, the Troupe sometimes surrounds itself with guest performers who widen the stage for the length of a show.

Highlights

Trans-Warhol / Urban Edition

For this project, the Troupe takes on a powerful subject. Trans-Warhol / Urban Edition is presented in Athens, as part of the opening of the Swiss House.

The show reinterprets the face-off between Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat as a poetic battle. It crosses the motifs of boxing and the Hip Hop battle, conflict, resilience, dynamism, with the Pop aesthetic. In an immersive 360-degree set design, ten artists from Krump, Breaking, Parkour, Tricking, Skateboard and spoken word open the dialogue on equal terms, to invent a common language and offer a sensitive vision of the battle.

Performances on 1, 2 and 3 October 2026, followed on 4 October by an initiation programme in Parkour and Krump.

Futuroparc

A large-scale multidisciplinary creation by Nicolas Musin, Futuroparc was first conceived as an in situ show to take over an industrial zone, before reinventing itself for the stage. Some fifteen young artists of Troupe UMA, dancers, tracers and skaters, seize the space for a physical journey between dance, Parkour and Skateboard, carried by the music of Eric Linder and Varoujan Chetirian. The show tells of the momentum of a youth facing an urbanisation that overwhelms it, and turns the stage into a playground.

Created at the Antigel Festival in February 2026, the piece is revived under the title Beyonders at the Théâtre du Passage in Neuchâtel in February 2027.

Ollie

A unifying work by Nicolas Musin, Ollie brings together Dance, Parkour and Skateboard in a single scene, around a monumental ramp that celebrates the quest for freedom of a creative youth. The show was created at the Théâtre Am Stram Gram in 2022, then revived at the Théâtre du Châtelet in 2025, under the musical direction of Pedro Winter. It embodies the vision that founds the academy, the meeting of disciplines until a common language emerges.
