The preselection to participate in the 2026 audition opens on February 2, 2026.
The in-person auditions to select young hip hop and/or contemporary dancers, traceurs, skaters or hybrid artists wishing to join the training programme will take place on:
- April 23 in Paris
- May 30 and 31, 2026 in Geneva
Applicants must be between 17 and 23 years old at the time of registration.
The 2-year programme – full-time or part-time – will begin on September 3, 2026. It will include numerous multidisciplinary workshops, creative processes and stage experiences throughout the academic years.
A third post-graduate year within the UMA Troupe – junior multidisciplinary company may be offered by invitation at the end of the 2-year programme.

After welcoming the legendary Big Mijo in 2024, UMA once again immerses us in Krump culture, bringing the energy and spirit of this powerful dance born on the streets of Los Angeles to life through an exceptional two-day event taking place on January 30 and 31. On this occasion, Mark Sheats, also known as Brui5er, another iconic figure of Krump, will honor us with his presence. Discover the program!

Découvrez la Troupe UMA sur scène avec un spectacle pluridisciplinaire créé dans le cadre du Festival Antigel 2026.
Dans une démarche de « recyclage » créatif, les chorégraphes Nicolas Musin et Alexandra Prieur-Drevon (ancienne élève d’UMA) ont choisi d’adapter le spectacle Futuroparc, initialement conçu pour un espace scénographique sans limites physiques, à une salle de théâtre traditionnelle.
Ce processus implique une transformation de la relation entre les interprètes, le public et l’espace, ainsi qu’un affinement de l’écriture scénique afin de répondre aux contraintes du lieu et du temps théâtral.
Porté par de jeunes danseurs, traceurs et skateurs formés à UMA – Urban Move Academy, Futuroparc invente des mondes possibles et propose une écriture artistique plurielle d’un genre nouveau.

We are pleased to welcome Valentin Goniot — performer with La Veronal and Damien Jalet, and assistant to Marcos Morau — for an exciting 4-day workshop at UMA. Sign up now!
Valentin, born in Antibes in June 2000, is a versatile dancer and performer. Trained at the Ballet Junior de Genève, he has had the opportunity to explore the works of Olivier Dubois, Marcos Morau, Sharon Eyal, and many others.
His first steps as a freelancer led him to collaborate with Marcos Morau, Damien Jalet, Cie Linga, and Pascal Marty. He is currently a member of La Veronal as a dancer under the direction of Marcos Morau, and also assists him in his creations for NDC Wales, Staatsballett Berlin, Ballet Junior de Genève, and Hamburg Ballet. Alongside this, he has performed and collaborated with Damien Jalet on various projects between Paris and Belgium.
In addition, he teaches classes and workshops based on the tools that have shaped his dance and artistic language, with the intention of using these tools to open new doors within each individual’s creative mind.

UMA is pleased to welcome Ryuya Kuwasaki, a leading figure of the new generation of Japanese parkour / freerun athletes. Renowned for having one of the most innovative styles in the scene today, he continuously develops spectacular wall tricks — sometimes seemingly “impossible” — embodying this new wave of Japanese style masters.
Blending creativity, precision, and movement exploration, his visit to UMA offers a rare opportunity to discover a unique universe and a demanding approach to urban movement and performance.
“My name is Ryuya Kuwasaki. I am a Japanese artist specializing in parkour, known for my creative tricks and wall movements. My friends started calling me the “King of the Wall,” which led to invitations to international events, including Red Bull Art of Motion.
I spent a year in Ollerup, Denmark, focusing on parkour and gymnastics, and I always try to create something new in every session by blending influences from different movement cultures.
Currently, I perform on Celebrity Cruises alongside singers, dancers, and other artists on a large stage equipped with screens. It’s a new space for parkour culture, and I’m excited to keep pushing it even further.
My signature style features unusual tricks on walls and variations in the shapes of movements. Recently, the “Full un Full”—a simple backflip with rotations to the right and left—is becoming my trademark move. I am currently developing new variations of it.
I have also won several Japanese and Asian championships.”
