Kalliopi Tarasidou known as Kalli was born in Stuttgart,Germany 1992 and is currently based in Greece. She began dancing at the age of 15 and was trained in ballet, contemporary, acrobatics and popping. Strongly influenced by the Hip Hop culture , she created her own individual language of dance, which mixed the edgy tutting movements with the fluent waving movements.
She then specialized in these techniques, combining them with elements of explosive aesthetics of contemporary dance ,breaking , theatrical and illusionary dance techniques , aiming to enrich the aesthetic potential of the urban dance. Kalli has worked with choreographers such as : Vartan Basil ,Kadir Memis Amigo, Yui Kawaguchi, Honji Wang , Sebastian Ramirez, Julien Carlier ,Joy Alpuerto Ritter, Teresa ‘toogie’ Barcelo ,Christian Zacharas, Neco Celik.
Lately Kalli has been creating her own choreography works that contains narrative components which are related to her sensational and mental experiences, so that her dance involves a kind of sentimental introversion.Besides that she has been traveling around the world to teach and participate in the jury of international events.
